Inter Milan have parted ways with head coach Frank de Boer after just 11 Serie A matches.
The ‘Nerazzurri’ sit 12th in the league table after De Boer guided them to just 4 wins in 11 games during his 84-day reign as head coach.
His final game saw his side lose 1-0 to Sampdoria, with Fabio Quagliarella striking the only goal of the game, just before half-time.
The former Netherlands international had replaced Roberto Mancini on a three-year contract, and used the summer transfer window to strengthen his midfield, bringing in the likes of Joao Mario, Ever Banega, and Marcelo Brozovic, but saw his debut game in Serie A end in a loss to Chievo.
Although De Boer picked up an important win over Premier League side Southampton in the Europa league, the Italian side lie bottom of group K, with just one win from their opening three matches.
Youth coach Stefano Vecchi will take over as interim manager, with his first match, a trip to St.Marys to face Southampton in the Europ league.
